Scroogenie processes personal information only as needed to provide intrinsic-value reports and asset-management features. This policy explains what information may be collected and how it is used.
1. Information We Collect
- When you create or access an account, we may process your email address, name, password hash, social-login provider identifier, and profile image URL.
- When you use asset-management features, we may store holdings, cash accounts, watchlist items, transaction history, notes, and analysis request history that you enter.
- For security, reliability, and troubleshooting, we may process technical logs such as access time, request path, browser information, and IP address.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide account creation, login, authentication, and profile features
- To create, display, and store intrinsic-value reports
- To provide holdings, cash, watchlist, import/export, and asset-management features
- To protect the service, prevent abuse, fix errors, and improve quality
3. Google AdSense and Advertising Cookies
- Scroogenie may display ads through Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to Scroogenie or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve personalized ads based on visits to Scroogenie and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
4. Visit Statistics (Google Analytics)
- Scroogenie uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which screens they use.
- What is collected: visit time, the address of the screen viewed, referrer, browser and device type, approximate region, and an anonymous cookie identifier. Information you enter — name, email, holdings — is not sent.
- It is used to improve the service and understand usage, and is deleted once the Google Analytics retention period elapses.
- You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Retention and Deletion
- Account information and user-saved asset or analysis data are retained while needed to provide the service.
- When users reset or delete asset data, the relevant data may be deleted within the scope of that action.
- Some information may be retained where required by law or where reasonably necessary to resolve disputes or protect the service.
6. Third-Party Services
- Scroogenie does not sell personal information at its discretion unless required by law or authorized by the user.
- The service may use external providers such as Google, Kakao, Naver, Meta (Instagram and Threads), Google AdSense, Google Analytics, and hosting or infrastructure providers for login, marketing-channel connections, ads, visit statistics, and operations.
- Each provider may process information under its own privacy policy and terms.
7. Your Choices
- You can review or update account information from the profile screen.
- You can request or perform deletion/reset of saved asset data where the service provides that function. Removing the app or requesting deletion through a connected Meta account revokes the stored channel credential.
- Privacy-related requests can be sent to the service operator and will be reviewed within a reasonable scope.
8. Investment Information Notice
- Scroogenie intrinsic-value reports are reference information based on public financial data and models.
- Scroogenie does not recommend securities, solicit buy/sell decisions, or provide investment advisory services. Final investment decisions and responsibility remain with the user.
9. Changes to This Policy
- This policy may be updated as the service, laws, or advertising policies change.
- Material changes will be announced through the service or notices.
